Christmas Princess
Ale (Alessandra Designs) has released a new kit called Merry Xmas Kit. Loved this picture of Pyper and with a little PS magic was able to give her a crown and put her arm through the packages. Thanks Ale for letting me play!Monday, March 30, 2009
Don't Feed the Squirrels Martha!
Just having a little fun tonight with another new Action from Alessandra Designs called Mischievous Owl. I also used some bits from her new Country Home Kit, just released at Digitals. The photos are two I took last Sunday in Kolab Canyons. I've added them below so you can see how the squirrel was extracted. Extraction and masking is so much fun and opens up so many possiblities with your photos. If you haven't tried it please do, just remember to start small, go slow and have fun. And the undo button, it's there whenever something just doesn't look right. That's why I most often use a mask instead of the eraser, I can always paint something back in with a mask, once it's erased it's gone forever.

Corn Fest

Late last summer we heard about a small community about 45 minutes East of St George that hosted a Corn Fest. Fresh corn just sounded too good to pass up so we took off one morning just to see what was what. Enterprise is a very small farming community that produces some of the sweetest most flavorful corn I've had for years. They brought wagons directly from the fields and loaded bags for you as you waited. Several of the neighborhood had lunch for sale including Navajo tacos, a real treat and a first for us both. We can't wait until this August, we'll be there with mouths salivating just thinking of the sweet corn waiting for our table.
I used Alessandra Designs darling action LadyBug Action Bundle for the little red ladybugs and then two of her papers (blended) from her Four Seasons: Autumn

This is a composite of 3 photos - the bunny, the background photo and the photo of my sister-in-law. I used extraction and blending to form the page. Also two of Ale's actions for the sign and bench. The pole for the sign is cut from the side of one of her frames.

Daddy's Girl

You know there's nothing better for a Grandma than to get oodles of new photos of the kids to play with this is no exception. Another great shot of Luke and Pyper, I just love the way she's looking at her Daddy! I used a kit from Alessandra Designs - Daddy's Little Girl, appropriate name don't ya think? The word art is my own, if anyone is interested in using it post me a note here and I'll make it available to you.

New Pages
Here are a few pages I've been working on the last few days. The first one is Zoie and Angi at the beach in summer 2000 using Joyce de Jonge's Fairy Dust kit.
The next is the day Mitch and Jeanett got married in 1998. Love the look on Derik's face. And it is Nicole in the pic not Beth, I have to change that on the final copy.
This was using Serendipity from Silvia Romeo at Digitals.

Next is my great-great niece, Alyssa when she was visiting Carol this summer and we happened to be there. I just loved this candid shot of her discovering her shadow. It's so much more fun when they don't know you have the camera in hand. I like the little saying I came up with. This is made using a brand new kit from Alessandra Designs at Digitals called Ethereal Fantasy. Such a wispy, soft, dreamy kit, I love it!

And last is Silvia's other new kit called Citrus Delight. This is Momma, they snapped this fast before she could object. Who would have known she'd look so cute in a hat. Aren't the colors in Silvia's kit perfect with the photo of Mom. What fun is Digital Scrapbooking!
