Easter Sunday 1960

oh my the
memories this

I remember the shoes,
white leather with very very pointed toes.
Gloves, hat and purse, I thought I was a
quite the little princess, such afashion
statement. And the bookcase behind me,
always filled with family photos, that’s my
Big Sissy in the photo behind me. On the
table is my Easter Basket, I wonder if this
was the year the ‘Easter Bunny’ hid them
behind the living room drapes. Such
wonderful childhood memories.

Ordinary Day, Extraordinary Lady

Here's Momma last month when I visited. Isn't it a wonderful photo of her??? I did this for the Let's Talk About Challenge this month at Digitals. You were to create a layout and use a definition in it. My definition was age:

age -- noun, verb, aged, ag-ing.

Why is it Momma when I look at this picture I can’t seem to find the right age, at least not the age that fits the years you’ve been here. To me you are just you, the Momma that answers my questions, helps me solves my problems and always encourages me when I’m down. So age really isn’t a number is it? It’s more a perception of life.

Christmas 2005

I just love these photos I found of Eddie and his Daddy, taken Christmas 2005. Eddie has changed so much in 3 years, so tall and so slim now. Wow where did this chubby little Cherub go to? Pictures like this, that show a great big hunk like Mitch cuddling with a little guy like Eddie just tug at my heartstrings, of course they're mine too, maybe that has something to do with it?? I just loved their Christmas tree and couldn't resist having it poke out the top of the frame.

I wanted to write something on the page but couldn't figure out where, then thought it would be fun to do vertical words within the stripes. They say -

Honeymoon with the Mouse!

Glenda Ketcham from Digitals has the greatest line of Disney Kits entitled The Most Wonderful Place on Earth. While looking through Amber and Bryan's Disney Honeymoon pictures one day I decided to send Glenda a note and ask if she'd ever thought of doing a Honeymoon kit. I sent her a couple of the kids pics with the Veil and Top Hat. Well Glenda has finished the kit entitled

It's super!!!! Even if you're pics aren't wedding ones there are so many neat elements and papers in it that it'd work for a multitude of photos. I sure hope you'll check her stuff out at Digitals.

Hello Mickey!

I just love Shawn Walter's Multi-Photo Crops at Digitals, she give lots of hints and helps on doing multi-page layouts. At the last one, when you attended, you received the template for this layout. How cool is that? This is a two page spread (I did it 12"x 24") and my daughter was thrilled. She wants to have it framed. I took all the photos they had sent me of them with Characters, there were an enoromous amount of photos of their trip to choose from but I thought this was a good theme to stick with. I then used the Walt Disney Script font to give it that 'real' Disney feel. I couldn't have made it complete without the aid of Glenda Ketcham's kit - The Most Wonderful Place on Earth: Silly Friends

Life's Hard Sometimes

Pyper you just looked so forlorn in this photo, I wonder if you are sad, or mad because you didn’t get to do something you wanted? I love how you have your little legs crossed and your hands underneath, like you are shielding yourself from the world. Grammy hates to see you without your smile, just remember --- A smile is just a frown turned upside down.

The photo was very small and to enlarge it to work in this page made it very blurry so I used a lot of different filters giving it a 'sketched' look.

The word art (which is my own) and text include the following fonts - Pristina - Porky's - Rage Italic -

I used Glenda Ketcham's An Everyday Princess for this picture of Pyper. You can find it at Digitals. The background is one of Glenda's striped cream papers duplicated and turned 90 degrees. I placed it over a gradient using the color of Pypers shirt and changing the blending modes on each of the layers to achieve this background effect.

An Everyday Princess - An Ordinary Day

I've been asked by Glenda Ketcham to be on her newly forming Creative Team. I was honored. Glenda was a name I saw pop up with an unbridled humor in my Yahoo groups when I first climbed into this digi world. Glenda has contributed kits and layouts for digital books and has a wonderful knowledge of PSP. I was thrilled I was in groups where her input was shared with everyone. As time went on and I eventually ended up on the CT store team for Digitals I got to know Glenda a little better and realized what a wonderful sense of family, humor and designing talent she possesses. So it was with many smiles and happiness that I accepted a position on her team.
This is the first kit I've used, it's her new one entitled An Everyday Princess. All her designs are sold only at Digitals. I'm also placing a preview of it here for you to see. I hope you'll stop by her store or her blog, Scrapville, and check out her kits. If you are a Disney fan, have a Disney vacation or party to scrap, Glenda will be the one you'll want to see. She got a huge collection of 'Magical' kits that will fit any photos you might have. I've put a bug in her ear that I have a bunch of my daughters honeymoon at Disneyland photos to scrap so I'm hoping that we'll be blessed with a new kit showing a little Disney love.

This page, An Ordinary Day, is Pyper with her cute little grin and those darling wisps of curls peeking out from under her hat. I've just loved this photo, I actually think I've scrapped it before but no matter it's worth scrapping again. I'll have to hunt for a photo of Zoie, my other little Princess granddaughter to scrap with this kit as well. I tried my hand with some more word art for Pypers page. I'm really enjoying doing it. Once we are settled in our new home I really want to try a lot more word art creations, I'd really like to do it with my own thoughts and prose, hmmm so many things to do and I'm sure there will never be enough time!!!
